Build your own magnetic tape data recorder

In what can only be described as either a trip down memory lane or electronics masochism, Michael Kohn has designed and published details on how to create your own data recorder/playback device using some custom circuitry and an audio Compact Cassette deck for the tape hardware. Mike created his own protocol which is based on the length of 10 kHz tones, with the length determining the bit type.
