STEM and Maker Education Orders

Australian Maker and STEM Products

Here at Little Bird Electronics, we have a range of kits and products focused on creating the next generation of STEM/STEAM inventors, most notably:

Australian Made EagLED, our beginner-friendly e-textile development kit

The Australian Made EagLED, our beginner-friendly e-textile development kit. It includes a fully Arduino-compatible micro-controller and it is packed with LEDs, a light sensor, pushbutton switch, and a buzzer board all built onto it. Each component can be easily snapped out and they won't snag on your garments either, so it's the perfect platform for your wearable or e-textile projects. A range of educational guides are available right on our website.

The Australian Made ShakeUp board allows anyone to easily connect everyday objects to the computer.

The Australian Made ShakeUp board allows anyone to easily connect everyday objects to the computer. With it, students can learn about simple circuits with Play-Doh, create a snack jar alarm, make music, draw, put together a quiz buzzer, program games such as pac-man and other classic arcade titles, a DIY alarm clock and much more! Start off with super accessible Scratch programming then move onto more advanced coding with Arduino. No soldering or breadboarding required. Unlike other boards on the market that do similar things, the ShakeUp also includes a temperature sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope. We've even created a ShakeUp Classroom pack! Be sure to check out our range of ShakeUp guides right here.

Little Bird Micro:bit Kit which includes 24 tutorials that will teach beginners on how to use the micro:bit together with various sensors and electronics so that they can go on to apply it to real-world applications.

The micro:bit, a pocket-sized, codeable computer, with sensors, an LED matrix, buttons, and Bluetooth. It's not just plain fun but an engaging way to get kids enthusiastic about code especially since there are various add-ons available such as the Meowbit, ideal for teaching game programming. For a gentle introduction into robotics, check out the Robit Smart Car, and the Micro:bit mini Robot - bird:bit. We also recommend our Little Bird Micro:bit Kit which includes 24 tutorials that will teach beginners on how to use the micro:bit together with various sensors and electronics so that they can go on to apply it to real-world applications.
The Raspberry Pi, the single-board computer that has revolutionised computing for beginners, students, makers, and industries since its inception back in 2012.

The Raspberry Pi, the single-board computer that has revolutionised computing for beginners, students, makers, and industries since its inception back in 2012. With all its components exposed, it demystifies computing, allowing children and beginners to see that there's nothing to be afraid of, to show them exactly where the operating system can be found, and to let them experiment with controlling electronics using the General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) pins.

The Little Bird Uno R3, a 100% Arduino compatible board.

The Little Bird Uno R3, a 100% Arduino compatible board. We also recommend our Crack the Code shield, a classroom-ready, easy to use, robust and versatile tool for students at all stages of schooling to get involved with programming and physical computing.
