Create a "no-fly" zone for IR-controlled helicopters

Although the new remote-controlled helicopters may be amusing and fun, Mike Kohn decided to decode the infrared signals used for control - in order to create a "no fly" zone in his office. So using a TI MSP430 he has created a device which blasts out infra-red signals that render the helicopter completely useless. For example:
