Day 17 Arduino Advent Calendar

Arduino Advent Calendar Day 17 - Deck the Hall Effect Sensor!

Today we're going to have a play with a Hall Effect Sensor (a type of sensor that can detect magnetic fields).

A Hall effect sensor works by varying its output voltage in response to a magnetic field. Hall effect sensors are used for proximity switching, positioning, speed detection (counting the effect of magnets on spinning objects), and current sensing applications.

Yup, enough talking about it let's go and build up the circuit over at guides.littlebird.com.au !
