The recommended first port of call for beginners starting out on their Raspberry Pi adventures, the NOOBS (New Out Of The Box Software) operating system gets you past the first few hurdles when booting up your new Pi for the first time. This is the latest version of NOOBS (2.7) and is compatible with the new Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ but is currently limited to installing Raspbian as opposed to the previous version (2.4) which had several different options. This is only temporary and should be rectified in the near future. NOOBS 2.7 is backwards compatible with the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, Raspberry Pi Zero, Raspberry Pi Zero W and Raspberry Pi Zero WH.
