What is littleBits?
littleBits makes electronic modules that snap together with tiny magnets for prototyping, learning and fun! The modules consist of tiny circuit boards with specific functions (light, sound, sensors, buttons etc.) which connect together to create larger circuits. littleBits are small, simple, intuitive blocks that make working with electronics a matter of snapping small magnets together with no experience required.
What is Arduino?
Arduino is an open-source physical computing platform based on a simple microcontroller circuit board. It’s designed to allow computers to make better sense of the surrounding physical environment. It works in tandem with a widespread online community that offers interactivity, solutions and support.
littleBits Arduino Coding Kit
littleBits collaborated with Arduino to create the Coding Kit to provide a kit that gives you everything you need to get started with electronics and programming. The kit contains eight of littleBits’ favourite prototyping modules including an Arduino, a bargraph and a mounting board amongst others.

Thanks to the Getting Started sketches, and hundreds more available for free from Arduino’s community, there’s no limit to the projects you can create. For example, you can create a DIY Etch-a-Sketch to draw on your computer screen, much like the real thing!
Mistake-proof building
littleBits electronic modules connect to each other using magnets, making them mistake-proof and easily interchangeable. Modules are colour coded depending on their function, for example pink represents inputs and green, outputs. Thanks to this colour coding system, no prior knowledge of electronics or circuitry is required, making the kit open to people of all ages.
