What is mBot?mBot, the adorable robot that helps children around the world in gaining hands-on experience in programming, electronics, and robotics! Kids can learn to program with mBlock, inspired by Scratch 2.0. Connect it wirelessly and effortlessly to computers or smart devices via Bluetooth or 2.4G (this version). The easy-to-assemble mBot also has a variety of add-on packs, providing infinite possibilities to foster STEM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). |
What's New? – Children SafeguardSafety first! Compared to the previous version, mBot V1.1 comes with a casing specially designed for protecting the main control board. Meanwhile, the casing is atomised to safeguard children's eyes from the glare of the onboard LED. |
What's New? – Better Auxiliary WheelThe omni-directional wheel of the previous version has been replaced by a mini nylon caster wheel that performs better when moving in any direction. It also dramatically reduces the little clack sound caused by a steel ball. |
Contracted But Not SimpleContains 38 assembly parts that can be put together in 10 minutes and colour labeled RJ25 ports for convenient wiring, which means more time can be spent on cultivating skills in programming and creativity! |
Graphical ProgrammingDrag-and-drop graphical programming software mBlock developed based on Scratch 2.0 provides a quick way to learn programming, control the robot, and realise multiple functions from the robot. Know more here.

Fun, and FunmBot is all about fun and creativity. It comes with various basic pre-assembled options, including obstacle-avoidance car, line-following vehicle, remote control car, and can be used in a variety of games such as a balloon bursting game, soccer playing, sumo-wrestling, and etc. |
Infinite ExtensibilityThe mechanical body of the mBot is compatible with Makeblock platform and most Lego parts. Its electronic parts were developed based on the Arduino open source ecosystem. This makes sure that the mBot has infinite extensibility, allowing anyone to use additional mechanical parts and electronic modules to turn it into the "dream robot". |
