Arduino Uno R3 SMD edition.

Overview

The SparkFun Inventor’s Kit comes with everything you need to start building circuits right out of the box. It is a great way for beginners to learn the basics of electronic circuits and build familiarity with Arduino. This kit includes an Arduino Uno SMD edition, along with various sensors and indicators, premium jumper wires, a USB cable, and a prototyping breadboard. The online guide shows you how to construct 16 basic circuits that will teach you how the various sensors and indicators interface with a microcontroller board.

Version 3.2 of the kit adds a new Simon Says circuit with all the LEDs and tactile buttons you will need to complete it.

The online instruction guide is designed to teach a beginner how to create the following circuits using the included Arduino Uno:

  1. Blinking an LED
  2. Reading a Potentiometer
  3. Driving and RGB LED
  4. Driving Multiple LEDs
  5. Push Buttons
  6. Reading a Photo Resistor
  7. Reading a Temperature Sensor
  8. Driving a Servo Motor
  9. Using a Flex Sensor
  10. Reading a Soft Potentiometer
  11. Using a Buzzer
  12. Driving a Motor
  13. Using Relays
  14. Using a Shift Register
  15. Using an LCD
  16. Simon Says

These tasks are building blocks of typical electronics projects. Once these concepts are mastered, they can be combined to create even more intricate and impressive projects.
