This shield allows you to connect a legacy device (or computer) to your existing Arduino board. Providing a full RS-232 port, this shield allows you to directly communicate with a huge variety of serial peripherals. You can use the default hardware Serial on pins 0 & 1, or use the software-Serial library on pins 2-7.
